<p>Ever since its first anniversary in 2010, the <strong>It’s Showtime</strong> family has been treating the <em>madlang </em>people with exhilarating, astonishing, and jaw-dropping performances presented by its gregarious and multi-faceted hosts in a grand showdown dubbed “Magpasikat” which has become an annual tradition in the past 14 years.</p><p>And as our favorite noontime program mounts its highly anticipated “1-4 EVER” 14<sup>th</sup>-anniversary celebration this week, which is a great reminder for us that the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itshowtime"><strong><u>It’s Showtime</u></strong> </a>family and the <em>madlang </em>people will always be “ONE FOUR-EVER,” let’s take a trip down memory lane and revisit the winning entries from previous editions of “Magpasikat” from 2010 to 2022 in this feature:</p><div><strong>2022</strong></div><div><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="377" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/QGD4rg6dtiA" title="Team Jhong-Ryan highlights the Filipino-Korean connection | It" s="" width="670"></iframe></div><p>In last year’s extravaganza, everyone was totally overjoyed when Ryan was finally hailed a Magpasikat champion after 13 years. His and Jhong’s amusing and stellar cultural presentation, which showcased the beauty and rich culture of the Philippines and South Korea, as well as the unbreakable connection between its people that emanated in the Korean War many decades ago, impressed the <em>hurados</em>.</p><p>Apart from simply dedicating their production to the Filipino Korean war veterans, who helped the South Koreans achieve the freedom that they, and even the whole world, are enjoying at present, Team Jhong-Ryan also gave the entire Php 500,000 cash prize to them.</p><div><strong>2021</strong></div><div><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="377" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ejVerXmDhTE" title="Team Karylle-Amy-Kim wins Magpasikat 2021! | It" s="" width="670"></iframe></div><p>The all-girls team of Karylle, Amy, and Kim truly championed women’s empowerment as they paid homage to Filipina athletes who brought pride and honor to our country over the years. Amy and Kim both showed off their dancing chops, while Karylle sang her own composition titled “KABABAIHAN”, which aims to pay homage to women athletes and show their support to them and all Pinays. The Chinita Princess ended their “FTW” (For The Women) number by exhibiting her skills in playing the drums. They took home a whopping Php200,000 cash prize in the home, which they donated to Girls Get Home PH, a non-profit organization that aims to empower women through sports.</p><div><strong>2020</strong></div><div><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="377" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/zcIoPgZVo90?list=PLPcB0_P-Zlj6GTjP61Z7uWO1qByEYAmyH" title="It’s Showtime family celebrates rebirth on their 11th anniversary | It" s="" Showtime="" Magpasikat="" width="670"></iframe></div><p>In spite of the pandemic, the noontime program was unstoppable in mounting the highly anticipated annual tradition. The <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itshowtime"><strong><u>It’s Showtime</u></strong></a> fam was divided into four teams and, unlike the previous editions, all of them were announced winners at the end of the anniversary episode.</p><p>Through a musical skit, the group of Jhong, Karylle, and Ion amused us with their portrayals of the lives of ordinary Pinoys, whose livelihoods were terribly affected by the pandemic – such as ice cream vendors, balut vendors, and jeepney drivers – and how they’re able to find various ways to overcome and rise from it.</p><p>Meanwhile, the dynamic duo of Jugs and Teddy, along with Ryan Bang, treated us to an enthralling concert experience as they presented a “Battle of the Bands”-themed number titled “Project 11: Tuloy Ang Tugtugan”, which they dedicated to everyone in the music industry extremely affected by the pandemic.</p><p>Vhong Navarro, Amy Perez, and Ate Girl Jackie Gonzaga, on the other hand, paid tribute to teachers in particular, who had their own set of struggles during this worldwide health crisis.</p><p>Last, but definitely not the least, were Vice Ganda and then-newest host Kim Chiu, who drew inspiration from the terrible experiences they and all of us have experienced especially during the pandemic, particularly in the emotional and mental aspects.</p><div><strong>2019</strong></div><div><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="377" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/xgRI5Mm9puY" title="Team Vice touches hearts with their grandiose concert on self-love | It" s="" Showtime="" Magpasikat="" width="670"></iframe></div><p>Considered by Vice as her most favorite Magpasikat entry, she dedicated her 2019 production, to those people who lost their crowning glory due to alopecia areata, a condition that causes hair to fall out. With how heartwarming and inspiring it was, their team was crowned the champion during the 10<sup>th</sup> anniversary of <strong><u><a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itshowtime">It’s Showtime</a>.</u></strong></p><p>Since she’s also stricken by the said condition, the Unkabogable Star narrated his hair loss story and journey to acceptance through the medley of Radiohead’s “Creep,” Willow Smith’s “Whip My Hair,” and Destiny’s Child’s “Survivor” which was presented by a series of wig and costume changes.</p><p>The concept of “self-love” was further emphasized as he hovered around the auditorium through a harness without wearing a wig and belted out Lady Gaga’s “Hair”, then gave the spotlight to a child with alopecia. Making the judges and spectators extra astounded and moved was when several audience members took off their wigs to that they also have alopecia.</p><p>After the concert-level number, Vice surprised everyone by finally confessing his romantic relationship with Ion Perez.</p><div><strong>2018</strong></div><div><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="377" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/iw5x4AVPZEY?list=PLPcB0_P-Zlj7uKyq9aHzvol8T4_cxg5IF" title="It" s="" Showtime="" Magpasikat="" Team="" Jhong="" and="" Karylle="" delights="" madlang="" people="" with="" a="" musical="" width="670"></iframe></div><p>As they got paired with one another in two consecutive years, Jhong and Karylle, who are also incredible thespians, had the opportunity to continue their 2017 Magpasikat musical theater entry that chronicled the endearing love story of two insects—a <em>higad</em> or caterpillar and an <em>ipis</em> or cockroach. And in 2018, they focused on <em>ipis </em>and <em>higad’s </em>offspring wittily called “<em>Ipad”</em> and its own journey towards self-acceptance and love. Aside from the enticing story, we also marveled at the intricate costume designs and splendid stage setup, as well as their “insanely beautiful” original song-and-dance performance.</p><p>The team, which was also comprised of Hashtags Ronnie, Jimboy, and Rayt, and GirlTrends Chienna and Jessica, got the highest grade of 94% and won Php 300,000 pesos that they donated to their chosen charity.</p><div><strong>2017</strong></div><div><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="377" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/D_lnDHuoSKo" title="It" s="" Showtime:="" Team="" Vhong="" in="" a="" heartwarming="" dance="" illusion="" Magpasikat="" width="670"></iframe></div><p>The team of Vhong, which was also comprised of Hashtags Nikko, Tom, Bugoy, and Kid, and GirlTrends Erin and Joana, truly impressed <em>hurados</em> with their moving mirror dance act that brought the hosts and the <em>madlang</em> people to tears. The performance, which explored the themes of isolation, loneliness, and hope, earned a perfect score of 10 from the judges. The group donated their Php 300,000 cash prize to their chosen charity.</p><div><strong>2016</strong></div><div><img alt="Magpasikat 2016" src="https://aa1a-dctp-s3-entertainment.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/updates/itsshowtime/2021/11/26/magpasikat-2.jpg"/></div><p>Anne gave Amy Perez and Joey Marquez their first-ever Magpasikat championship after they wowed the <em>madlang </em>people with their “<em>buwis-buhay”</em> performance. Anne performed a series of aerial stunts on the side of the ABS-CBN ELJ Corporate Communications building along with her few teammates. Tagging themselves as “TBJ,” the trio presented an amusing and unconventional, yet confusing production by creating a noontime variety show entitled &quot;Whatchamacall8.&quot; In their mock game show, one audience member got to take home Php 90,000. They sang a song in gibberish and made a mess on stage that left the audience and judges puzzled about what they were doing. However, as they got the video of their performance played in reverse, everyone realized that they actually performed the theme song of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itshowtime"><strong><u>It&#x27;s Showtime</u></strong></a><u>.</u></p><div><strong>2012</strong></div><div><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="377" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/C2XcPQMy71Q" title="It" s="" Showtime:="" Vhong="" and="" Billy="" dance="" with="" lights="" on="" width="503"></iframe></div><p>Billy Crawford and Vhong Navarro showcased an extremely futuristic dance number. They displayed different forms of illusion with the help of high-technology tricks in their performance, much to the amazement of the <em>madlang </em>people. The pair also showed off their incomparable skills in dancing while performing an innovative dance with lights, not to mention injected humor throughout their performance.</p><div><strong>2011</strong></div><div><img alt="Magpasikat 2011" src="https://aa1a-dctp-s3-entertainment.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/updates/itsshowtime/2021/11/26/magpasikat-1.jpg"/></div><p>The one and only Dyosa of Philippine television Anne Curtis indeed wowed the audiences when she showed off her skills in pole dancing and aerial silk dancing, as well as belted out Adele’s “Someone Like You” while she was upside down. She ended her performance with her extraordinary version of Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing.” Singer Jed Madela also had a special participation as her moving microphone holder.</p><div><strong>2010</strong></div><div><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="377" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/JnGThZ3RyM8?list=PLPcB0_P-Zlj7Mvnw_qod0q1z_xFgtfACG" title="IT" S="" SHOWTIME="" Anniversary:="" Jugs="" Teddy="" width="566"></iframe></div><p>For the inaugural staging of the highly anticipated spectacular talent exhibition of the hosts in 2010, the dynamic duo of Teddy Corpuz and Jugs Jugueta, who are lead vocalists of OPM bands Rocksteddy and Itchyworms, respectively, gave us an ultimate rock concert at noontime as they invited fellow OPM artists Yeng Constantino, Tutti Caringal of 6Cyclemind, Marc Abaya of Kjwan and Kean Cipriano to perform with them onstage. In addition, Teddy also impressed us when he impersonated rock icon Bamboo.</p>
