PHOTOS: Team Anne-Jackie-Ion pulls heartstrings with whimsical, tear-jerking Magpasikat 2022

<p>Anne Curtis made sure that her comeback on It’s Showtime would be memorable as she, along with teammates Jackie “Ate Girl” Gonzaga and Ion Perez, delivered a <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime/videos/team-anne-jackie-ion-delivers-heartwarming-number-about-a-mothers-ever-shining-love-for-magpasikat-2022-337560"><em><u><strong>heartwarming and awesome Magpasikat number</strong></u></em></a> for <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/itsshowtime"><u><em><strong>It’s Showtime</strong></em></u></a>’s “TRESElebrate” fete that began on Monday, November 14.</p><p>The whimsical presentation was seemingly fresh out of a story book, as it tackles the wonderful connection between a mom and her child that is formed through reading bedtime stories before the latter goes to sleep. Anne played the role of the mom, who is deemed to be a goddess, while Nhikzy Calma’s little sister, Queenzy, was tapped to her adorable daughter. A strong tornado took them away from each other during their adventure at dreamland, which pushed the affectionate mom to desperately search for her missing kid in different planets.</p><p>It was through this quest that Anne met Jackie and Ion, who served as the guardians of the two planets she had set her foot into. They indeed impressed us with their respective breathtaking routines that showcased their sides that we had not seen before, with Jackie mesmerizing us with her aerial silk dance as a butterfly in Planeta Neona, while Ion swooning us as the leader of Planeta Deserta.</p><p>Of course, Anne didn’t let their spectacle simply end without her performing buwis-buhay routines. In bated breaths, we watched her run and do acrobatic routines mid-air while suspended in harness, with the staircase scene wherein she let herself freely fall as one of the most noteworthy parts of the show.</p><p>Apart from her daring and heart-pounding moves, she was also able to move us with her dramatic chops, particularly in the last part of their number, wherein she got reunited with her lost kid. Making the performance more poignant was Anne’s pre-recorded rendition of the Coldplay hit “A Sky Full Of Stars”.</p><p>Aside from the fact that it’s the host-actress first Magpasikat since taking a hiatus and becoming a mom, what made the production extra special was that it inspired them to write and publish a children’s story book titled “Ang Nanay Ko Ay Dyosa”, which they distributed to the hurados after their performance.
