A native of Davao City, he was convinced to join the competition after receiving a lot of comments from other people that he has striking resemblance with the Unkabogable Star. During the grand finals, Daniel performed Vice’s rendition of “Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita,” as well as her original song “Push Mo Yan Te.” He also tried to recreate her concert-inspired performance of Lady Gaga’s “Applause” with matching costume change and prop.In the end, all his efforts were paid off, for he was declared the “Ultimate Kalokalike Winner,” besting Katy Perry lookalike Melody Esther Loren Hodgson, who was the 1st runner-up, and Bruce Lee doppelganger Anthony Garcia, who was the 2nd runner-up.
