One of the things that we admire about the ever-gregarious It’s Showtime family is their undisputable chemistry and unbreakable tight bond, which make it apparently effortless for them to take on their sworn duty of making the madlang people happy. While among their ways of doing it is by bantering with or poking fun at one another, it seems that the dynamic duo of Vhong Navarro and Ogie Alcasid have a different means, and it’s through their almost ceaseless yet funny bangayans.

And in this episode of Kapamilya Toplist, let’s look back on some of their hilarious, playful arguments on It’s Showtime that really brought good vibes to the viewers.

Ever since Ogie joined the noontime show in 2021, we have witnessed how he and Vhong would ‘bicker’ almost every day, especially when both of them are onstage, which their co-hosts have already noticed. They may be regarded as a tag team since they were paired with each other for Ogie’s first-ever Magpasikat stint that year, but that’s not always the case for them or what has been happening.

And one of the instances that we had witnessed them “arguing” was in an episode of “Karaokids” wherein they were teammates. That went on when they were assigned to be two of the hosts of the “Expecially For You” segment that same day after Vhong wrongfully corrected Ogie while they were interviewing the searchees alongside Jhong Hilario and Vice Ganda.

Apart from his height, Vhong is also fond of poking fun at some of Ogie’s OOTDs. However, there were times that he supported and praised him, particularly when he wore a pair of cargo pants and a plain white shirt, which made him look younger.

While he’s often Vhong’s subject of ‘ridicule,’ Ogie is also able to unleash the funnyman in him as he has found ways to come back at Vhong, such as by jestingly scoffing at some of his jokes and calling him out for not having an entry whenever the hosts would exchange puns or knock-knocks. There was also an instance when the OPM icon quipped that he is “pogi” or handsome on April 1, which most of us know is “April Fool’s Day.”

In one of their kulitan moments, Vice Ganda commented how they reminded him of the comedy duo Dolphy and Panchito after Vhong wasn’t able to follow Ogie as they mimicked the interpretative dance done by him and Jhong. It wasn’t the first time that it happened though, as they accidently bumped each other’s heads while doing a ballroom dance routine in another episode of “EXpecially For You” in December 2023.

They may often “bicker” on the show and even on their vlog wittily entitled “Let’s VhoGie,” but we know how genuinely close Vhong and Ogie are in real life and how much they love each other like brothers.
