In an episode of Karen Davila's vlog, Jericho Rosales took viewers on a heartfelt journey of rediscovery, healing, and newfound love. The vlog began in a serene setting—a lush farm where Jericho and Karen explored the simple joys of life. From learning about farming to sharing a refreshing welcome drink, they connected over the grounding experience of planting vegetables.

As they settled into a more intimate one-on-one interview, Karen asked the question everyone had been wondering: What made Jericho return to the entertainment industry after a long hiatus? Jericho opened up about his burnout from the relentless grind of teleseryes, confessing that at one point, he was ready to leave it all behind and venture into real estate or businesses. However, a chance encounter in New York changed everything.

There, Jericho reconnected with his acting coach—a friend who helped him tap into his artistic soul through a powerful technique. This encounter awakened something profound within him. “It was actually first an apology, saying I’m sorry to myself for turning my back on my artist. Na-realize ko na. I’m an actor. I’m an artist.” Jericho’s realization was a poignant reminder that sometimes, the hardest battles are the ones we fight within ourselves.

Jericho spoke candidly about the struggles that fueled his exhaustion: the constant battles in his heart and mind, and the pressure of questioning his purpose. Born into a poor family, he experienced a difficult childhood marked by financial and emotional hardship. As a child from a broken family, he dreamed of having a complete household—a home with even the simplest of things they never had, like a cabinet. His journey from those humble beginnings to becoming an actor was filled with challenges and moments of self-doubt.

Despite the fame, Jericho never forgot his roots. He shared how he still appreciates being called "Mr. Pogi," a title from his early years that marked his first taste of the limelight. But as his career evolved, so did his perspective. He found solace in his deep relationship with God, one that wasn’t fear-based but more like a friendship.

Jericho’s personal life was not without its struggles, especially in his relationship with his father, whom he made peace with before his passing. He also spoke about the complex dynamics of his family, where he often found himself stepping into a fatherly role for his younger brother. As a father himself, Jericho shared touching moments about his son, expressing pride in the young man he has become, and the joy he feels in their shared bond.

Looking back on his ten-year marriage, Jericho acknowledged the valuable lessons he learned about relationships. “It was like a big lesson on building relationships and how relationships can be shaped and evolved because I’m really, really good friends with Kim,” he shared, highlighting the deep friendship he still cherishes with his ex-wife. Through it all, he learned that love can take many forms, and that relationships are capable of growing and reshaping into something beautiful.

Then, life surprised Jericho once again with Janine. He admitted that he never saw it coming, initially mistaking her youthful innocence for someone much younger. Their first meeting was under the guise of a “script reading”—a pretext that quickly unraveled. “One day, I had asked her, ‘Would you like to do a script reading with me?’” Jericho recounted, laughing at the memory of bringing his iPad to the cafe. “I brought my iPad and then we saw each other at the cafe and then I brought my iPad out, then she started laughing. She was like 'Holy God, you have an iPad' and I said 'Yes, this is a work meeting.' So to cut the long story short, six hours later, we never got to open the iPad," he added.

Jericho found himself drawn to a new energy, one that made him feel alive again. He described the feeling with a clarity that resonated deeply: “It’s like I found my north star. That’s how I would describe it. I’m just always following that energy.”

In Karen's vlog, Jericho didn’t just share a story—he shared his heart. It was a powerful reminder that life's journey is not a straight path, but one filled with twists, rediscovery, and the courage to say yes to love, no matter how unexpected it may be.
