15 scenes that show Jasmin and Zandro’s continuously growing friendship in “Lavender Fields”

Jasmin (Jodi Sta. Maria) has been a wanted criminal with a whopping P15 million bounty on her head after being accused of conniving with her lover, Tyrone (Jericho Rosales), in embezzling the money of the Buenavidez family. On the other hand, Zandro (Albert Martinez) is the NLEA (National Law Enforcement Agency) agent assigned to investigate the case and hunt down Jasmin.

They might be expected to become enemies, but an unexpected friendship bloomed between Jasmin and Zandro in “Lavender Fields” as they eventually learned about each other’s stories and shared motivation in life—to seek justice and find out the truth behind what happened to them and their loved ones. As they get to spend more time together to devise their strategies, it’s highly inevitable for them to grow closer together and perhaps even develop romantic feelings.

Thus, as her way of thanking him for what he had done for her, Jasmin invited him to a fancy and intimate candlelit dinner at The Luxe Grand Terrace, wherein she further bared and justified her motivations, insisted that he’s not a criminal, and asked for his help. He’s also able to help her determine who among the three young girls in the clique of Iris (Janine Gutierrez) is her missing child, which the DNA test results revealed to be none other than Camilla (Janell Gonzaga), the daughter of Lily (Jolina Magdangal).

In return, Jasmin has inspired Zandro to prioritize his well-being by cooking decent food for him, convincing him to stop binge drinking, cleaning his house, and even preparing his work stuff, as she reminded him that their battle is going to be still long, so he has to take good care of himself.

They have also become part of each other’s support system as they continue to deal with grief and fear. Jasmin has also consoled him as he continues to grieve his wife and son who got killed in a vehicular fire, while Zandro assures her that they’ll be able to take her daughter back and make the Buenavidezes pay for their crimes, so she must not lose hope nor be easily swayed by her emotions in order for them to succeed with their missions.
