Mom of 'Courageous Caitie' gives birth on Valentines' Day

Back in March last year, many mourned the death of Filipina kid Caitlin Soleil Lucas, or &quot;Courageous Caitie,&quot; who succumbed to a rare form of leukemia at the tender age of three. </p><p>On Tuesday, her parents announced that they have given birth to a healthy baby daughter. &quot;So surreal still,&quot; Caitie&#x27;s father, Jericho Jose, wrote on Facebook as he shared a photo of his wife, Christine Feliz, with their newborn. </p><p>He continued: &quot;We lost Caitie around 11:25 a.m., held her in our arms. And now our baby daughter came into this world at 11:25 a.m. on the day the world know it&#x27;s all about love today. What are the chances? Thank you, Lord.&quot; </p><p>Early last year, Caitie&#x27;s heartbreaking display of courage while battling juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia -- a rare form of leukemia that affects one in a million children around the world -- went viral on social media. </p><p>Moved by her story, thousands of well-wishers began setting up different means to raise funds for Caitie, such as auctions of paintings among others. But despite everyone&#x27;s best efforts, she passed away last March at a hospital in Singapore. </p><p>Caitie&#x27;s story was featured in an episode of &quot;Maalaala Mo Kaya.&quot; </p>
