'She’s a star': Kelsey Merritt wows in Sports Illustrated swimsuit shoot

<p>MANILA – One day after <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/life/02/17/19/kelsey-merritt-is-part-of-sports-illustrateds-swimsuit-edition">announcing</a> that she is now part of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2019 rookie class, Kelsey Merritt teased her fans with a sneak peek from her shoot with the magazine in the Bahamas.</p><p>In the Instagram photo she posted, Merritt looked like a goddess clad in a two-piece nude swimsuit with the sea in the background.</p><p>Another post, this time by Sports Illustrated, shows a short clip of Merritt doing what she does best in front of the camera.</p><p>&quot;@kelseymerritt may be an #SISwim rookie, but her SNEAK PEEK from @larettahouston shows she’s already a STAR,&quot; the magazine said in the caption.</p><blockquote see the final product of their hard work.</p><p>“Can’t wait for the issue to come out in May!! The best team,” she said.</p><p>In a previous interview with the magazine, Merritt shared how much it means to her to become one of Sports Illustrated’s models.</p><p>“I really want to be a Sports Illustrated model because I love how confident the models are and I want to show everyone who is looking at these pictures and reading the magazine that they can also be confident in their own skin,” she said.</p><p>Merritt made headlines in November last last year for being the first Filipina model featured in the coveted Victoria’s Secret fashion show.</p>
