Eksperto nagbabala vs paggamit ng cellphone na nakatodo ang brightness

Nakakasira sa mata ang labis na pagtutok sa mga gadget na nakatodo ang brightness o liwanag at maaari pa raw ito mauwi sa pagkabulag, ayon sa isang doktor.

Paliwanag ni Dr. Yul Dorotheo, na isang neuro-opthalmologist, maaaring magdulot ng ultraviolet (UV) Keratitis o pagkagasgas at pamamaga ng cornea ang matagalang exposure sa blue light at UV light mula sa cellphone.

Mainam din daw na i-adjust ang liwanag ng cellphone tuwing ginagamit sa maliliwanag na lugar.

"When you’re outdoors, tumitingin ka sa phone mo hindi mo masyadong makita kasi maliwanag so you tend to put it on the brightest setting. Compounded ang exposure mo sa bright light, reflected sunlight plus sunlight," babala ni Dorotheo.

"Intense use of the phone can give you intense exposure to blue light that can damage the cornea or retina," dagdag niya.

Ilan lamang sa sintomas ng UV Keratitis ay ang eye strain at sakit ng ulo. Pero aniya, maaaring mabulag ang central vision ng mata kapag sobra ang exposure sa blue light at UV light.
