LOOK: Hot air balloon festival takes off in Carmona for the first time

<p>MANILA--Hot air balloons decorated the morning sky this Friday in Carmona, Cavite to mark the start of Flying Carnival 2020, or the International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta as it was known before. </p><p>A number of colorful balloons, alongside a mix of paragliders, took part in the opening ascent of this year&#x27;s festival, notable for being the first time it will be held in the CALABARZON region. </p><p>Some 45,000 spectators are expected to visit Carmona as it hosts the country&#x27;s largest annual meeting of hot air balloons. Thermal cameras and closed circuit televisions at the event gates are installed to closely monitor the visitors&#x27; temperature. </p>
