LOOK: A real-life 'Enchanted Rose'

And the real version also has some magic to it as it can last almost forever.</p><p>The distinctive red bloom enclosed in a glass dome – seen in both the 1991 animated feature as well as the live action remake – is an iconic part of Disney’s &quot;Beauty and the Beast.&quot; The fictional flower has been made into a reality – minus the spell-binding curse of course.</p><p>Hannah De Guzman, 19, an entrepreneur and design student at the Mapua Institute of Technology, took inspiration from the movie to give fans a piece of their favorite film. But there’s more to this concept than just being a real-life version of a mythical flower.</p><p>“With proper care, it could last at least two years; but my supplier says it could last a lifetime,” the florist says of their bestseller item at Aesthetic Flowers. “The preserved flowers are imported from Ecuador and then packaged here in Manila.”</p><p>The Enchanted Rose from Aesthetic Flowers is the first of its kind in the country and has earned support in the business community. In February, it was named one of the finalists at the Entrepreneurs’ Organization’s Global Student Entrepreneur Awards, nearly clinching the right to represent the country at the international finals.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2017/life/03/17/enchanted-rose2.jpg"/><figcaption><div class="embed-desc">It also comes in various colors. <cite>Handout photo</cite></div></figcaption></figure></div><p>De Guzman’s product comes in the classic red color, but is also available in a variety of other options including gold, black and rainbow. “Many of our clients are from abroad who want to surprise their loved ones here. But there are also a lot from the LGBT community, the workforce and some students too.”</p><p>Less than a year since its debut in Manila, the Enchanted Rose has already proven to be a hit. And with &quot;Beauty and the Beast&quot; now showing in theaters, we can only expect business to bloom even more.</p>
