<p>MANILA — In these anxious times, music has been proving to be a wonderful tonic in lifting each other out of the gloom.</p><p>On Facebook this Saturday, a member of the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra has uploaded a video showing him, while wearing a face mask inside his home, doing an emotional cover of “Paraiso,” an original composition from Ryan Cayabyab for the group Smokey Mountain, with his violin.</p><div><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script></div><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/ABSPhilharmonic/videos/2939294326148389/?v=2939294326148389" data-width="auto"> </div><p>Patrick Feliciano hopes his cover would raise the morale of people during these dark times, while also reminding them to help the country&#x27;s frontliners and stay at home, among other things.</p><p>“We cry for help and pray that this crisis will be over soon. We heed the DESIRE to live in a world where children can run free, where people can hug each other again and experience all the joy it brings,&quot; the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra Facebook page wrote.</p><p>Saturday marks nearly two weeks since the government imposed a strict quarantine over the whole of Luzon, in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus. The country’s <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/03/28/20/philippines-covid-19-cases-cross-1000-as-doh-announces-272-new-cases">total number of confirmed cases</a> has now jumped to 1,075, from 803 on Friday.</p><p>The death toll stands at 68.</p>
