Ang bawat board na ipapamahagi ay ginawa sa Ingles, Tagalog, at Bisaya para matulungan ang mga pasyente sakaling may kailanganin habang naka-confine, ayon sa Phillipine Association of Speech Pathologists Davao City at Center for Brighter Beginnings. Layunin ng grupo na matulungan ang mga intubated COVID-19 patients na mapaabot ang kanilang mensahe at pangangailangan sa mga health worker lalo na at hindi sila makapagsalita nang maayos.&quot;The purpose of which is to provide an alternative means of communication for patients who are incapable of talking at the moment because of COVID-19 so either they are intubated or their lungs cannot provide appropriate support for speech,&quot; sabi ni Dav Quilantang, isang speech and language pathologist.Bukod sa mga communication boards, nagbigay din sila ng mga white boards at markers kung saan masusulat ng mga pasyente ang kanilang mensahe para sa pamilya maging sa mga health worker na nagbabantay sa kanila. &quot;We want them to be able to participate in making medical decisions if our health workers are aware of them it would be easy to give the most appropriate and best possible care for our patients,&quot; sabi ni Dav Quilantang, speech and language pathologist.May mga drawings at letters na gawa ng mga pre schoolers ng Center for Brighter Beginnings ang pinadala na may mensahe ng pagmamahal at suporta sa mga frontliners.
