For Mark Coliyat and Jen Peradilla, no earthquake can stand between their promise of unending love.</p><p>The couple was scheduled to tie the knot at the Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Taysan, Batangas on Saturday afternoon when a powerful earthquake struck.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2017/life/04/09/040617_wed5.jpg"/><figcaption><div class="embed-desc">Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Taysan, Batangas. <cite>Photo courtesy of Jonathan Vital of Vital Image Photo</cite></div></figcaption></figure></div><p>The quake, which was <a href="http:// http://news.abs-cbn.com/news/04/08/17/multiple-quakes-rock-luzon"><strong>felt</strong></a> in parts of Metro Manila and nearby provinces, caused fear among the wedding guests resulting to a temporary halt of the ceremony.</p><p>Photographer Jonathan Vital was witness to the unrelenting desire of the couple to get married.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2017/life/04/09/040617_wed13.jpg"/><figcaption><div class="embed-desc">A couple pushed through with their wedding at the grotto of Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Taysan, Batangas on Saturday (April 9, 2017)following an earthquake. <cite>Photo courtesy of Jonathan Vital of Vital Image Photo</cite></div></figcaption></figure></div><p>In a phone interview with ABS-CBN News, Vital said dust from the church ceiling started to fall near the altar just as the couple took their seat.</p><p>&quot;I was near the back of the church and the ground started shaking, I saw the whole church shake and a pretty large amount of dust from the front altar started to fall, all of us we&#x27;re in shock and started to run out the church, it was a pretty good 15 seconds of earthquake,&quot; Vital detailed further in an email.</p><p>He said wedding guests then started to rush outside fearing that the church would collapse.</p><p>Despite the earthquake, the couple insisted on continuing the wedding. The couple accepted the offer of church organizers to prepare a makeshift garden setup at the grotto outside of the Church.</p><p>Vital added that another tremor was felt as organizers were setting up near the grotto.</p><p>As soon as the outdoor venue was prepared, the couple wasted no time and immediately took their seats near the altar.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2017/life/04/09/040617_wed18.jpg"/><figcaption><div class="embed-desc">A couple pushed through with their wedding at the grotto of Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Taysan, Batangas on Saturday (April 9, 2017) following an earthquake. <cite>Photo courtesy of Jonathan Vital of Vital Image Photo</cite></div></figcaption></figure></div><p>Vital described the couple as unmindful of the recent earthquake as they made their promise of love to each other.</p><p>&quot;It was a really memorable day for the couple and all the guests. After all the events, we still managed to go to the reception and take beautiful portraits of the couple,&quot; he said.</p>
