Salamat at na-appreciate ninyo.”</p><p>This is what Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda said after performing one of their classic hits, “Silvertoes,” in a gig in Makati last weekend.</p><p>Released in the late ‘90s, “Silvertoes” is a song about a woman who is full of herself. </p><p>Part of the lyrics goes: “Sorry, pagpasensyahan mo na / Mali talaga ang iyong inaakala / Lahat kami ay nandidiri sa iyo / Ikaskas mo na sana ang mukha mo sa semento.”</p><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/O_EahV9itqw?enablejsapi=1" width="560"></iframe></figure><div class="iwantbar">Watch more in <a href="//www.iwantv.com.ph/">iWantv</a> or <a href="//tfc.tv/">TFC.tv</a></div><p>On stage, Miranda addressed the ‘90s kids in the audience and praised them for not being “too sensitive,” unlike today’s generation.</p><p>“Ito sandali ah, disclaimer lang,” he began. “Nothing against the millennials pero sometimes ‘yung mga millennials, masyadong sensitive. Pare, noong nilabas namin ‘yung kanta na ‘yan (&#x27;Silvertoes&#x27;), walang na-offend. Alam niyo kung bakit? Tayong mga batang ‘90s, we don’t get offended by songs.”</p><p>Miranda went on: “Can you imagine kung ngayon namin nilabas ‘yan? Yari kami sa Twitter! Iba ang away ngayon, pare.”</p><p>The Parokya ni Edgar vocalist went on to apologize in advance to the younger generation who may be offended by the lyrics of “Silvertoes.”</p><p>“Kung na-offend kayo, sorry.
