Pinoy wins Mr. Star Model Universe 2018

<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/news/05/29/flag.jpg"/><figcaption>Mark Andrew Baron, also known as Baron Andrews, is the winner of Mr. Star Model Universe 2018. <em>Facebook.com/mark.g.baron</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>MANILA – The Philippines has dominated another pageant.</p><p>Mark Andrew Baron, also known as Baron Andrews, won Mr. Star Model Universe 2018 in Peru on Monday (Manila time).</p><p>His runners-up include representatives from Peru and Mexico.</p><p>On Tuesday, Andrews <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1733061780083088&amp;set=a.373549416034338.88745.100001378488267&amp;type=3&amp;theater">took to Facebook</a> to express his happiness over his title, citing “all the effort I put into this contest.”</p><p>“The discipline, the favorite food that I tried hard to ignore, lahat ito, sa pahintulot ng Diyos Ama, nakamit ko na maging kauna-unahang Mr. Star Model Universe 2018,” he said.</p><p>“Kahit po mahaba ang binyahe namin, dalawang araw kami bumiyahe papuntang Peru, tapos ang paga-adjust ng tulog at body clock at pag-adapt sa klima rito sa Peru. Ako ay minalat at inubo isang araw bago ang paligsahan. Nawala po ang boses ko. Pero ginabayan po tayo ng Diyos Ama kaya naka-recover tayo agad upang ipagpatuloy ang laban. Sa awa po ng Diyos, nakamit natin ang tagumpay para sa bansa natin,” he added.</p><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/mark.g.baron/posts/1732518903470709" data-width="auto"> </div><p>Andrews went on to thank all those who have tirelessly supported him in his journey to becoming Mr. Star Model Universe 2018.</p><p>“Ang dami-dami ko pong dapat pasalamatan sa tagumpay na ito. Maraming, maraming salamat po sa lahat-lahat na walang sawang sumuporta at naniwala sa aking kakayahan!” he said. </p><p>“Ang tagumpay ko na ito ay para sa Pilipinas!”</p><p>Andrews is a Social Studies teacher at San Rafael Technological High School in Navotas. </p>
