Face mask fit for a queen? Mak Tumang unveils 'Lava Mask'

MANILA — Mak Tumang, the breakout designer behind Catriona Gray's iconic Miss Universe gowns, shared on Friday a first look at his own take on fashionable face masks.
On Instagram, Tumang shared a photo of a "Lava Mask" that he teased will be "available soon."
The face mask is the same as the texture of Gray's coronation dress in the 2018 Miss Universe pageant, the "Lava Gown."
The outfit was named after Mayon Volcano in Albay, the home province of Gray's Filipino mother, Normita Magnayon.

The "Lava Mask" is the latest in a fad of turning face masks fashionable amid the "new normal" of wearing protective gear due to the coronavirus pandemic.
