After signing a contract with Star Music back in February, the former AfterImage vocalist is set to make his musical theater debut later this August, it was revealed Tuesday. He joins the cast for Atlantis Theatrical&#x27;s adaptation of the Tony-nominated Broadway musical, &quot;Side Show,&quot; about the real-life story of conjoined twins who tried to overcome their impediment and make a name for themselves as film stars. It had four nominations at the 1998 edition of prestigious Tony Awards, including a nod for Best Musical. Asked about his musical theater debut, Cornejo described himself as &quot;horrified,&quot; &quot;ecstatic,&quot; &quot;insecure,&quot; excited,&quot; confident,&quot; and &quot;amazed&quot; all at the same time. &quot;Does that make me a freak?&quot; he asked. Also in the cast are Kayla Rivera, Gab Pangilinan, Markki Sroem, David Ezra, and Arman Ferrer, with the rest to be announced soon. Steven Conde is directing, with choreography by Cecile Martinez and musical and vocal direction by Farley Asuncion and Manman Angsico. Set and costume design are by Lawyn Cruz and Odelon Simpao. &quot;Side Show&quot; will open on August 31 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza in Makati City.
