<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2017/life/07/06/nick-lizaso-ccp-070617.jpg"/><figcaption><div class="embed-desc">Nick Lizaso. <cite>Handout photo</cite></div></figcaption></figure></div><p>MANILA – Arsenio “Nick” Lizaso, a theater actor and television and film director, is the new president of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).</p><p>Lizaso was elected by the CCP Board of Trustees last June 13, and has been a member of the board since 2010.</p><p>He was a recipient of the British Council Grant Attachment with the Nottingham Playhouse and the Royal Shakespeare Company (London and Stratford-on Avon), as well as a Fullbright-Hayes Travel Grant to the U.S. on theater arts, film, and television. </p><p>From 1983 to 1985, Lizaso was the president of the Directors Guild of the Philippines. In 2009, he was the only Asian to be invited as a member of the jury at the sixth International Student Theater Festival in Belarus. </p><p>In 2011, Lizaso organized the first Philippine International University Theater Association Festival at Miriam College in Quezon City, where 24 foreign theater experts and educators conducted workshops and gave lectures. </p>
