Do not miss this -- preorder the book today with your local comic book shop!</p>— Greg Pak (@gregpak) <a href="https://twitter.com/gregpak/status/1154604498666627072?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">July 26, 2019</a></blockquote><div><script async="" src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charSet="utf-8" type="text/javascript"></script></div><p>Greg Pak, who co-created Wave, the<a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/life/03/09/19/the-lowdown-on-marvel-comics-filipina-superhero-wave"> water manipulator from Cebu</a> who helped defend the Philippines from invading flame monsters in the comic book series &quot;War of the Realms: New Agents of Atlas&quot; released last May, is again involved in the project. </p><p>He&#x27;ll be introducing the new Pinay superhero with award-winning writer Alyssa Wong and artist Pop Mhan. </p><p>Wong is half-Filipina and has been recently tasked by <a href="https://www.marvel.com/articles/comics/writer-alyssa-wong-on-welcoming-aero-and-wave-to-the-marvel-universe">Marvel Comics</a> to write the backstory for Wave. She is mainly a science-fiction writer who has won an Nebula Award, a World Fantasy Award, and a Locus Award for her works. </p><p>Pak provided no further details on the character, other than saying that her first appearance will be on issue #3 of &quot;Aero.&quot; </p>
