villain from &quot;Kung Fu Panda 3,&quot; a vengeful and power hungry bull named Kai, was hailed as the winner of the cosplay competition at AsiaPOP Comicon Manila 2018 last Sunday. </p><p>Jessie Salvador Bandiola Jr. won $10,000 (roughly P530,000) for turning The CAGE (Cosplay Authority Global Challenge) stage into his own playground, doing high kicks and flips as the villainous warrior. </p><p>He placed first ahead of first runner-up Jerson Magallanes, with his spear-wielder outfit, and second runner-up Maria Paula Castro, who carried the legendary Excalibur weapon as a genderbent version of King Arthur from the anime &quot;Fate/Stay Night.&quot; </p><p>The two won $2,500 and $1,000 worth in cash and other prizes, respectively. </p><div class="media-content"><div News</cite></p></div></div></div><p>There were 17 contestants in total, and each got the chance to showcase their outfits for a few minutes onstage.
