<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/news-special1/lifestyle/8/8/batogame-1.jpg"/></figure><p>The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday launched its first official anti-drug mobile game, as part of the organization’s massive anti-narcotics campaign. </p><p>The Android game, “Tsip Bato: Ang Bumangga Giba!” lets users play as the titular PNP Chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, who is nicknamed “Bato: Chief Enforcer.” </p><p>Players control Bato in third-person perspective as he rides on the back of a police pickup truck through a four-lane highway. Bato can be moved through the lanes by swiping left to right. </p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/news-special1/lifestyle/8/8/batogame-2.jpg"/></figure><p>Mobile gamers might recognize the gameplay as similar to another popular mobile game called “Temple Run.” </p><p>As such, the objective of the game is to shoot or run down criminals (seen wearing green masks) while avoiding vehicles, parked pedicabs, pedestrians, sidewalk vendors (in the outer lanes), and those orange barriers seen along EDSA. Hitting any of these would end the run. </p><p>The process of avoiding can be taxing as players have to be accurate in their swipes and quick enough to avoid barriers, which increasingly become closer to each other as the run progresses. </p><p>Players can also capture coins featuring silhouettes of criminals. These tokens would increase the chances of several power-ups appearing, such as magnets (captures, or rather kills enemies without having to move to the corresponding lane), speed boosts (makes the character&#x27;s vehicle faster), and bags of coins, which can be used to buy power-up upgrades. </p><p>However, unlike “Temple Run,” players of the PNP mobile game do not have to make in-game purchases that require actual monetary transactions; they simply need to play the game more to collect coins to purchase.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/news-special1/lifestyle/8/8/batogame-3.jpg"/></figure><p>Some mobile users might not notice it but they can also select President Rodrigo Duterte as a playable character. He would be wearing a barong and whose name in the game is “Du30: El Presidente.”</p><p>“Tsip Bato: Ang Bumangga Giba!” is developed by Filipino software firm <a href="http://www.ranidagames.com">Ranida Games</a>. </p><p>There have been already a number of mobile games featuring Duterte, mostly developed for Android devices, though this would be the first officially-sanctioned game. </p><p>Other fan-based Duterte-themed games include shooter games “Duterte Fighting Crime” and “Dutertador,” a boxing game called “Duterte MULTIPLAYER Boxing” (yes, the all caps are part of the title), and a side-scrolling game called “Duterte as Running Man.” </p></div></div></div>
