4. Nokia 8 promises several firsts

HMD Global has launched the Nokia 8, a high-performance, beautifully crafted smartphone, designed with content creators in mind. The unit lets you do less selfies and more “bothies,” thanks to a dual-sight feature which simultaneously harnesses both the front and rear cameras in a split-screen visual for both photos and videos.

Nokia 8 is also the first smartphone to have a Nokia OZO Audio feature. It will be available in Polished Blue, Polished Copper, Tempered Blue and Steel.

5. Brillante Mendoza holds exclusive 'Cinemansanas' Masterclass

Cannes film festival Best Director Brillante Mendoza shared his expertise on acting, directing and cinematography to 23 lucky filmmaking enthusiasts for the Cinemansanas Masterclass sessions held last August 12-13.

Participants underwent extensive training and experienced hands-on activities during the sessions, which aim to help them bring film ideas to life.

7. Huawei P10 and Watch 2 bag awards at EISA 2017

The European Image and Sound Association (EISA) recently awarded Huawei P10 and the Huawei Watch 2 as the EISA Smartphone Camera 2017-2018 and EISA Wearable Device 2017-2018, respectively.
