Catarman is closest to Biri Island, while Calbayog is located south of Biri Island.</p><p>From the airport in Catarman or Calbayog, you can ride either a tricycle or jeepney to get to the town of Lavezares.</p><p>Once in Lavezares, go to the town market along the beach where you&#x27;ll see small boats or pump boats. Ask which boat can take you to Biri Island. There is also a ferry that leaves in the afternoon.</p><p>Biri Island is only eight kilometers long and 2.5 kilometers wide. Respect marine life. Don&#x27;t disturb turtles, fish and other creatures. Don&#x27;t step on corals because those things are fragile.<br/>3. Respect people. Avoid playing loud music that disturbs others. Be sensitive by wearing appropriate clothing. Wearing bikinis near churches, schools or offices may offend the locals.<br/>4. Patronize establishments that don&#x27;t pollute. If your hotel&#x27;s drainage leads directly to the sea, maybe it&#x27;s time to check other accommodations.<br/>5. Pick a beach that doesn&#x27;t get a lot of people as congestion puts stress on the environment.</p>
