Niel Caburnay Tero, ABS-CBN Europe News Bureau</figcaption></figure></div>MOSCOW, Russia -- Resident performers of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) drew accolades from Russian audiences with their interpretation of the folklore &quot;Nang Dalawin ng Pag-ibig si Juan Tamad” held at the MOST Theater.They were among the 30 teams that participated at the recently concluded 12th World Theater Congress hosted by Moscow. Film and TV director and CCP president Arsenio Lizaso led the delegation.&quot;Nang Dalawin ng Pag-ibig si Juan Tamad&quot; [How Love Came to Juan Tamad] shows Philippine scenery, ironic dialogue between characters and subtle subliminal messages woven into the story.“It&#x27;s enormous! We&#x27;re proud and are very grateful to the audience here. I will not be bragging but in Manila also ‘Juan Tamad’ is receiving a lot of grateful audiences,” said Lizaso.Participants from Latvia, Belarus, the Philippines, Bulgaria among others took part in the congress.The actors, meanwhile, were very happy with the outcome of their performance.“Sobrang saya po ng pakiramdam, lalo at marami po kaming kababayan na dumayo at sumuporta para lang mapanood kami. Hindi po namin alam na marami din po pala kaming kababayan dito sa Moscow at ramdam po namin &#x27;yung pagmamahal hindi lang sa mga kababayan namin pero pati na rin sa mga Ruso na nakapanood sa amin,” said actor Aldo Vencilao.Ambassador Carlos Sorreta, Philippine ambassador to Russia, was overwhelmed with the performance.“Yung pag-share ng ating culture and art ay napaka-importante po para lumalim ang ating pagkaintindi between Russians and Filipinos at magbubunga ang understanding at cooperation na makakatulong sa bawat bansa. Itutuloy po natin ang pagdala dito ng ating mga artists,” said Sorreta.
