MANILA - Following a historic win in Venice, Lav Diaz's 228-minute long revenge drama "Ang Babaeng Humayo" continues to rake in more positive reviews as it premiered in North America over the past week at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival.

"It makes me proud and very happy for Lav Diaz. He really deserves this," said Santos in an interview with ABS-CBN News after arriving in Toronto. "When we talked in March, we said we would only make a movie. We are just going to have fun. But this is more than just having fun. This is a great adventure, and really, a most unforgettable moment."

Meanwhile, Cinema One head Ronald Arguelles confirmed that "Ang Babaeng Humayo" will be screened in Philippine theaters. Although he did not reveal other details regarding the planned playdates.
