Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival in Binondo

<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/life/09/19/20180919-mid-autumn-festival.jpg?ext=.jpg"/><figcaption>Mooncakes at Lucky Chinatown mall. <em>Handout</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>MANILA – Looking for a place in Manila to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival? </p><p>Lucky Chinatown mall in Binondo is hosting the event – also known as Mooncake Festival – with various events this week until September 24.</p><p>Customers can visit the Mooncake Fair until September 21 to see an extensive collection of mooncakes created by hotel chefs in Manila as well as Lucky Chinatown establishments. </p><p>On September 22, the mall will hold the traditional festival dice game, with prizes such as gift certificates up for grabs.</p><p>From September 22 to 23, children can take part in the Moon Fest Mural Contest and create artworks inspired by the festival. </p><p>The Grand Festival Celebration will be held on September 23 at the Lucky Chinatown mall atrium, where guests can witness performances from the Manila Chinese-Filipino schools and other partner organizations. </p><p>The talent competition of the Little Mr. and Ms. Chinatown pageant will also be held on the same day. </p><p>Capping off the festivities is the Lantern Design Artfest on September 24, with entries to be showcased at the bridgeway to Lucky Chinatown Building A. </p><div><strong>CHINATOWN ADVENTURES</strong></div><p>Recently, Lucky Chinatown gave ABS-CBN News and selected media a guided tour of the mall, which offers a combination of iconic brands and new finds.</p><p>Familiar restaurant brands featured in the “Chinatown Adventures” tour include San Guo La Mien, known for serving authentic hand-pulled noodles and kuchay dumplings; Masuki, a popular Chinese restaurant offering Chicken Mami and Tai Pao Siopao; and Shi Lin, which specializes in Xiao Long Bao and other Taiwanese dishes. </p><p>Those who are craving for Japanese grilled meat can head to Mitasu Charcoal Yakiniku, an all-you-can-eat restaurant.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/life/09/19/20180919-shi-lin.jpg?ext=.jpg"/><figcaption>Dishes at Shi Lin.<em> Handout</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>The mall also has plenty of Chinese wellness centers such as Beijing Foot Spa, with its massage chairs with built-in televisions and headrest speakers; and Wellness Sanctuary, with its best-selling acupuncture sessions that promise to address various health problems.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/life/09/19/20180919-wellness-sanctuary.jpg?ext=.jpg"/><figcaption>Wellness Sanctuary. <em>Handout</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>Believers of feng shui can make a quick stop at Phoenix Dragon, which sells amulets and other “lucky” charms. </p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/life/09/19/20180919-phoenix-dragon.jpg?ext=.jpg"/><figcaption>Phoenix Dragon. <em>Handout</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>Those who wish to visit a temple without leaving the mall premises can check out Miao de Amituofo Pureland, which houses three Buddhas surrounded by flowers and fruits.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/life/09/19/20180919-miao-de-temple.jpg?ext=.jpg"/><figcaption>Miao de Amituofo Pureland. <em>Handout</em></figcaption></figure></div>
