My shooting is just every weekend, not even more than three times a week. Sometimes, it’s just once a week. The rest of my days are committed to training and to bettering myself for the international competition,” she said.Although she definitely wants to bring home the crown, de Leon said she does not want to dwell on the fact that she is vying for a back-to-back title.“If I dwell on it, I will just pressure myself even more and stress myself out. I believe in a pageant, you’re there to gain experience and to grow as a woman and to have fun and to meet other women from other countries,” she said.“I never compare myself to other people. It’s more of challenging myself to be better. Of course, I will work hard and I will give it my all to get a back-to-back win. Hopefully, if God blesses me with a crown, I will really be happy,” she added.Kylie Verzosa is the reigning Miss International.Aside from de Leon, Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2017 Nelda Ibe and Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2017 Elizabeth Clenci were also also at the send-off ceremony.All three will represent the Philippines in their respective international pageants barely a month from now.
