<div><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script></div><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/MISSGRANDINTERNATIONAL/videos/1572699226086401/" data-width="auto"> </div><p><strong>(UPDATE)</strong> She may have fallen short in her quest to bring home the country&#x27;s first Miss Grand International title. </p><p>But Elizabeth Clenci still did the Philippines proud Wednesday night after becoming the only Asian candidate to finish inside the pageant&#x27;s top 5. </p><p>She was named second runner-up, behind eventual winner Maria Jose Lora of Peru and first runner-up Venezuela&#x27;s Tulia Aleman Ferrer. </p><p>Puerto Rico&#x27;s Brenda Jimenez was third runner-up, while Czech Republic&#x27;s Nikola Uhlirova rounded up the top 5. </p><p>In the final round, Clenci, a half Romanian who grew up in Australia, and the other candidates were asked: &quot;If you have to issue a law to punish criminals of war and violence, how would you punish these people and why?&quot;</p><p>Clenci answered by saying that &quot;a nation is judged not by criminals but how the nation punishes them&quot; before advocating for mental rehabilitation. She also said that persons should not be judged simply by the crimes they commit. </p><p>The hours-long coronation night held in Vietnam called for peace across the word. </p><p>In an earlier round, Clenci said it is her responsibility to &quot;fight and strive for peace through love, compassion, understanding and education.&quot; </p>
