MANILA – The queens have spoken.
Even Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Miss World 2013 Megan Young were impressed by the Philippines’ performance in pageants this year, with two of the country’s representatives winning crowns over the weekend.
Karen Ibasco won Miss Earth 2017, while Wyn Marquez bagged the Philippines’ first-ever Reina Hispanoamericana title.
Wurtzbach is the Philippines’ third Miss Universe winner, ending a decades-long title drought, while Young is the country’s first and only Miss World titleholder.
