himself or herself.</p><p>But Kim Atienza considers his stroke eight years ago as a blessing, saying that it turned him into a better man.</p><p>Atienza, known to many as “Kuya Kim” because of his TV appearances, took to Instagram on Tuesday to look back on his ordeal and how it changed his life.</p><p>Sharing a photo of him on the operating table, he said: “Eight years ago today, they operated on my heart and put a metal occluder the size of a P5 coin to seal a hole that caused a stroke.” </p><p>“The stroke turned out to be one of the best things that happened to me,” he continued. “It made me become a better father and husband, an athlete, a marathoner, and an Ironman. The stroke turned out to be one of the best things that happened to me. It made me become a better father and husband, an athlete, a marathoner and an Ironman. I found out the things that really matter. God, Family and purpose. (3 years after my stroke I got sick again, had Guillain Barre Syndrome which turned out to be even better!
