Speaking on DZMM, Bro. Obet Cabrillas of the Light of Jesus Family explained what he believes should be the meaning of Christmas.

Using an acrostic, Cabrillas gave his own definition of Christmas.

P — Pansin (attention)

According to Cabrillas, giving your loved ones the attention they need is something very important and very easy to do.

A — alaala (memory)

"Ang buhay po ay hindi napupuspos ng number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breaths away," Cabrillas said, emphasizing on the importance of making good memories.

S — silbi (service)

Aside from making good memories and giving attention, serving your loved ones can also make Christmas more meaningful.

K - kalinga (care)

Taking care of your loved ones is also one of the easiest, yet most important gifts one can give on Christmas.

O — oras (time)

"Pag binigay natin 'yan, 'yan ang mahalaga," Cabrillas said.

Cabrillas also shared what he believes people should do to change for the better in 2017.

"Ine-expect po ng mga tao na magbabago ang kanilang outer space, pero mas mahalaga po na magbago ang kanilang inner space," he said.

For Cabrillas, having humility, enthusiasm, availability, responsibility and trustworthiness (HEART) is important for one to have a better new year.

"Akala kasi ng iba ang biyaya ine-enjoy lang at ipinagpapasalamat. I want to call it stewardship call. Ang biyaya ay dapat pinapangalagaan at pinapalago," he said.
