BBG Entertainment on Thursday released “Boulder Dash: 40th Anniversary Edition,”bringing the classic 1980s game to modern platforms with new levels, features and a retro look. The game is available for PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Windows and Mac, with a Nintendo Switch launch scheduled for Aug. 28 in North America and Sept. 4 in Europe.

The “40th Anniversary Edition” includes 60 remastered levels from the first three ‘Boulder Dash” titles, 180 new levels across six original worlds, and three fan-designed stages created by longtime community members. New elements such as acid-eating rocks, enemy generators and surprise eggs have been added to expand the gameplay.
