(DHC) has rebranded its multi-awarded resorts in Boracay and Palawan ahead of the homegrown company&#x27;s 25th anniversary next year.Club Paradise Palawan is now called Discovery Coron, while Discovery Shores has been renamed Discovery Boracay. Both are under DHC&#x27;s new brand called Discovery Resorts, along with Discovery Samal in Davao.DHC&#x27;s chief operating officer, Jun Parreño, said this is their way of ensuring consistency across all of their properties.&quot;Especially in Club Paradise, there&#x27;s no mention of the name Discovery,&quot; he said of the luxury resort in Palawan, which DHC acquired from a German owner 11 years ago, during a recent media roundtable.&quot;So now they carry the name of Discovery plus the destination,&quot; he added.Parreño described Discovery Resorts as their &quot;upscale, luxurious brand&quot; in the most pristine Philippine locales.DHC wants to differentiate it from its other concepts such as Signature Collection, which is focused on unique, regional experiences such as Manami Resort in Sipalay, Negros Occidental; the staycation spots Discovery Primea in Makati and Discovery Suites in Ortigas; and the soon-to-be-launched Kip &amp; Kin, which is targeted at younger travelers.&quot;The goal is to define each of these brands under the umbrella of Discovery,&quot; Parreño said. &quot;So for Discovery Resorts it&#x27;s upscale in terms of room size, amenities, and the whole service experience.&quot;&quot;The Kip &amp; Kin brand is geared towards the millennial, more of the mid-scale, new experiences,&quot; he went on. &quot;The sizes of the rooms are a bit smaller, 25 to 28 sqm, and it&#x27;s more of communal spaces for people to meet together.&quot;Travelers can expect to see the first Kip &amp; Kin concepts in El Nido in Palawan and Siargao soon. Beyond the branding update, DHC is also modernizing all of its properties, with a focus on sustainability and personalized amenities with a Filipino touch.The offerings will vary across brands: for instance, Discovery Resorts will deliver &quot;thoughtful&quot; service for older, more discerning clients, while Kip &amp; Kin is all about &quot;lively&quot; and tech-driven executions which are preferred by the younger set.&quot;The hospitality industry is a very fast-changing industry.
