Handout </div><div>(UPDATED) Din Tai Fung is back with its annual Xiaolongbao Day, which celebrates the Taiwanese restaurant chain's best-selling soup dumplings.</div><div>From October 23 to November 3, Din Tai Fung is offering two new flavors inspired by the cuisines of two neighboring Asian countries. </div>The humble xiaolongbao gets the luxe treatment in Wagyu Mala, named after its two fillings: Japanese beef and mala, a numbing seasoning from China's Sichuan province. The flavors of mala are infused into the broth, with the blend of Sichuan peppercorn, cinnamon, and star anise cutting through the richness of the wagyu.On the other hand, the Scallop and Prawn Laksa xiaolongbao turns Singapore's famous noodle soup into small, delicious bites. Fresh scallop and prawn balance out the rich broth, which combines spicy sambal and sweet coconut.The two new flavors are available in 3- and 5-piece baskets for Din Tai Fung's dine-in customers until October 29.Aside from Wagyu Mala and Prawn Laksa, Din Tai Fung offers xiaolongbao with a variety of fillings: pork, chicken, chili crab and shrimp, pork and roasted garlic, crab roe and pork, green squash and shrimp, pork and kimchi, uni and pork, truffle and pork, foie gras and chicken, and chocolate. The Taiwanese restaurant also serves other dumplings and wontons, as well as noodles, soups, fried rice, and other dishes.Din Tai Fung currently has 8 branches in the Philippines: Alabang Town Center, SM Mega Fashion Hall, Bonifacio High Street Central, Power Plant Mall, Greenbelt 3, SM Mall of Asia, SM North EDSA, and Uptown Mall.
