Dom Corilla still could not believe that he is the first Filipino winner of the Mister Global 2024 title.

The country's representative shared his thoughts about his stint in the recently concluded pageant in a live video on the Mister Global Facebook page on Monday, saying he was already happy with a Top 10 finish.

"I couldn't believe I was in the Top 2," he said, when asked to recall the moment before he was proclaimed winner. "I was not expecting to even be in the Top 5."

"So when I was there standing with Manuel, it was such an amazing moment," he added, referring to first runner-up Manuel Romo of Spain. "I couldn't fathom what just happened in the Top 2, and no matter what the result was, I was already happy."

"But when they called my name... Everything just changed. And now, here we are. So it was totally amazing."

Corilla made the statement while having breakfast with his runners-up: Romo, Favour Ogbuokiri of Nigeria, Patrick Pho-Ngam Forstner of Thailand, and Luiz Mascarenhas of Brazil.

The Filipino winner said he is excited for his reign as Mister Global 2024.

"Looking forward to what comes next," he said.
