Carlos Yulo honored with ‘Man at His Best’ Award by Esquire

Filipino gymnast and 2024 Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo continues to shine as he received the prestigious “Man at His Best” award from Esquire Philippines. 

The awarding ceremony, held to celebrate individuals excelling in their fields, recognized Yulo for his outstanding achievements and representation of Filipino excellence on the global stage.

In an interview, Yulo shared his gratitude for the unexpected honor. 

“Sobrang thankful and grateful po, and of course, super honored po. Hindi ko po siya expected mangyayari,” he said. 

The gymnast has been enjoying a year filled with accolades, a testament to his dedication and faith.

“Si Lord po lahat to,” Yulo humbly remarked. “Grabe po yung mga blessings talaga binuhos niya po sa akin.”

Yulo’s girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, stood proudly by his side during the event. “I’m very, very proud and thankful kay God,” she said. “Thankful and grateful that you are able to do this and many more.”

The ceremony also honored other notable individuals in music, film, business, and philanthropy, making it a night of celebrating excellence across industries. Other awardees were singer “Mr. Pure Energy” Gary Valenciano, actress Marian Rivera, director Joey Reyes, singer-rapper Hev Abi, businessmen Amado Fores, and Kevin Tan.
