Despite the unusually rainy weekend in the middle of summer, the sudden downpour did not stop the festivities. Amid the busy Bonifacio High Street, an eye-catching bright red setup adorned with giant tomato designs stood out. At the center was a familiar ketchup bottle shape bearing the sign, "Heinz Red Zone."

Attendees like Yel Verzosa and Louie Baconcon appreciated how the games connected them to the simple joys of Filipino childhood. "'Yung pinaka na-enjoy ko sa event 'yung tumbang preso kasi it brings back childhood memories talaga." (The most enjoyable part of the event for me was playing 'tumbang preso' because it really brings back childhood memories), shared Baconcon.

"Despite the rainy weather, ang enjoyable pa rin ng event. Ang fun niya, tapos ang daming freebies, so we got to try the different sauces of Heinz. You get deliciousness that you do not find in the regular ketchup,(Despite the rainy weather, the event was still enjoyable. It was fun, and there were so many freebies, so we got to try the different sauces of Heinz. You get deliciousness that you do not find in the regular ketchup) added Verzosa.

So, sobrang thankful ako to be part of the Heinz Crew." (Heinz has truly been a part of my life, especially during my college days. Back then, I used to bring Heinz sachets for snacks, and I would just eat them on its own. I think I manifested that [becoming a Heinz crew member]. So, I am incredibly grateful to be part of the Heinz Crew.)

Mimiyuuuh effortlessly stood out and won in the Palarong Heinz. On how she did it, she shared,"Alam n'yo po, laking Baclaran po kasi ako. So, 'yung mga ganitong palaro, normal po siya in my everyday life. So, easy-peasy. Nostalgic din siya kasi it has been awhile since I played 'yung mga ganung laro. I am super happy that Heinz really brings the Pinoy style in the Heinz way."  (You know, I grew up in Baclaran, so these kinds of games are normal in my everyday life. So, easy-peasy. It is also nostalgic because it has been a while since I played these kinds of games. I am super happy that Heinz really brings the Pinoy style in the Heinz way.)

Ady Cotoco brought his A-game to the Meryenda Burger Wars and won with his Korean-style ketchup sauce. His strategy was simple, "Actually, I have a background in cooking. So, I just used my knowledge in cooking and applied what I know."

Cotoco mixed Heinz tomato ketchup, Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce, gochujang, and honey for his winning sauce.

Mixing ketchup with Worcestershire sauce is not new for Cotoco. "I mix Heinz ketchup and Lea & Perrins a lot. On everything. Not just on burgers. Actually, it Is really my dipping sauce. Like with tuyo, fried chicken, and even with sinigang," he shared.
