MANILA – Here are some events that you can check out this weekend.

Robinsons Mall, SBTown’s K-pop Audition

Turn your K-pop and P-pop dreams into reality as Robinsons Mall and SBTown opens an audition on Saturday (June 1), at Robinsons Metro East Co-Events Space and on Sunday (June 2) at Robinsons Las Piñas Co-Events Space.

Three lucky auditionees will be chosen and get tickets to fly to South Korea. They will also receive cash prizes and may be selected for training opportunities locally or in South Korea.

Participants who haven’t signed yet under any agency may pre-register via https://forms.gle/1WzKn4poRKuFv3Wn7 but walk-ins will also be accepted.

The Itchyworms at Vespa Day

OPM band The Itchyworms will headline Vespa Philippines’ 78th anniversary event on Sunday at The Tent at Villar City, Las Piñas. Vespa owners, enthusiasts, and guests will gather to enjoy fun activities, food and drinks, as well as music and entertainment.

Bee's Knees takeover

The Peninsula Manila will host Toru Ariyoshi and Keisuke Yamamoto of Kyoto’s Bee’s Knees – No. 44 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars for 2023 list – who will be taking over The Bar for a night of unparalleled mixology magic on May 31 from 8 pm to 12 midnight.

This is phase two of The Bar’s year-round series of bar takeovers that started with Hong Kong’s Mizunara: The Library in February of this year.

This is an exclusive chance to celebrate with Asia’s finest in the heart of Manila. 

Goût de France street market

The Goût de France street market will be held at Paseo de Roxas, Makati this weekend! Experience a gastronomic adventure and indulge in mouth-watering treats and goods.

This event is made possible by Embassy of France to the Philippines and Micronesia, Ayala Land, Inc., and Make It Makati.

It will be held on Saturday, 4 pm to 12 midnight and on Sunday, 6 am to 8 pm, with a fun run and a fun ride on car-free Sunday at 6 a.m.

Tunog Maynila

Manila Mayor Dr. Honey Lacuna said the Tunog Maynila free concert series on June 1, 8, 15, and 22 are scheduled at the Kartilya ng Katipunan beside the city hall.

“We have 12 of the country's top bands who will perform on the four Saturdays of June leading to Araw ng Maynila,” Lacuna said.

 “Every weekend in June in Manila, we will have unforgettable music, food, magic, and memories at the Kartilya ng Katipunan (beside Manila City Hall),” she added.
