Maria made a plea to the public to adopt and not to shop for a companion animal.</p><p>Sta. Maria made the plea in a new PETA ad blitz where she was joined by a kitten named Taho and a dog named Marimar. </p><p>The new series of digital messages from PETA Asia also reminded everyone to spay and neuter their companion animals.</p><p>“Adopting my cat, <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/01/12/23/jodi-sta-maria-gives-updates-on-new-pet-cat-naia" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Naia</a>, has brought so much joy and love into my life,” Sta. Maria said in a press release.</p><p>“I’m happy to partner with my friends at PETA to encourage everyone to adopt their companion animals from shelters, never buy them from pet stores or breeders, and always spay or neuter so that fewer kittens and puppies are born into homelessness,&quot; the actress added.</p><p>Just weeks ago, Sta. Maria added a new member to her fur family as she adopted a puppy she named Zandro. Sta.
