Lampara Reads is claimed as the country's first set of locally produced books consisting of 150 Filipino-written and 150 English-written books with decodable text

Lampara Publishing House, Inc. president and general manager Segundo D. Matias, Jr. (left) poses with some of the authors, Victor A. Villanueva (center) and Daisy Jane Calado, during the launch of Lampara Books’ Lampara Reads during the 2024 Manila International Book Fair in Pasay City on Wednesday. Lampara Reads claims to be the country's first set of locally produced books consisting of 150 Filipino-written and 150 English-written books with decodable text, which are reading materials that are written to teach reading to children who are beginning to read. The materials aim to address the "reading crisis" among Filipino children, according to Lampara.
