​Alexie Brooks visits grandmother's grave after Miss Eco International win: 'I'm proud of us'

<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/17458180400962-Composite (2).jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Miss Eco International 2025 Alexie Brooks. <em>Brooks/Instagram </em></span></span></span></div><p>Newly crowned Miss Eco International Alexie Brooks was able to squeeze in time from her busy schedule to visit the grave of the most important person in her life--her grandmother.</p><p>On Instagram Stories, the beauty queen said she traveled from Boracay to Leon, Iloilo to light a candle at her Lola Basing&#x27;s grave.</p><p>&quot;As I walked closer, I felt her presence--warm, welcoming, proud,&quot; she recalled. &quot;While praying, it was as if her hands rested gently on my shoulders, reminding me she&#x27;s always with me.&quot;</p><p>&quot;I miss her deeply, every single day,&quot; she added.</p><p>Acknowledging that her visit was short, Brooks promised her grandmother that she will be back soon to spend more time with her.</p><p>&quot;I&#x27;ll be back soon, Lola, with stories from Egypt and more,&quot; she said.</p><div>&quot;I love you so much.
