Having spent a decade together since meeting as college sweethearts, they knew their big day needed to be short of magical. “Since we handle a lot of weddings.. una, nakakapagod na, palaging may kasal. Pwede bang magkasal tayo, mag-civil na lang… He gave me a choice, that one or &#x27;pag magpapakasal tayo, gusto ko hindi &#x27;yung kagaya ng mga hina-handle natin. I want something different,” shared DJ Mocha. “So siyempre, sino ba namang ayaw maging Disney princess? At least once in our life.”<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1745901582243WEDDING2.jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt="Screenshot from video on Niño Solis Films&#x27; Facebook page"/>Screenshot from video on Niño Solis Films&#x27; Facebook page</div>For Axl, who grew up as a Disney fan, the idea of centering their pre-wedding shoot around &quot;Beauty and the Beast&quot; came naturally. “Nag-brainstorming kami pero pinag-isipan din namin ng matagal. Kasi &#x27;yung concept namin, gusto namin kakaiba &#x27;yung concept,” he said. “Why not pumili tayo ng isang Disney movie and then we make that as a concept… probably &#x27;Beauty and the Beast,&#x27; maganda….. it fits our personality.”From there, the planning began. It took them six months to organize everything, from the costumes, props, and even a special prosthetic mask to bring the Beast character to life. They ordered pieces abroad, had dresses custom-tailored, and carefully studied scenes from the movie to make sure even the smallest details were right. “Supposed to be October &#x27;yung kasal namin pero dahil medyo mahirap &#x27;yung concept na gusto naming i-achieve, kaya na-move siya ng April,” Mocha shared. But for couple, all the work was all worth it. April was also their 10th anniversary as a couple, making the date even more special. Finding the right location was also part of the challenge. They wanted a venue that felt like a real European castle. That place turned out to be a resort in Bambam, Tarlac, though some scenes were also shot in Sarangani and General Santos City to complete their fairytale.<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1745901622445WEDDING BEHIND.jpg" style="width:633px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt="Behind-the-scenes photo from the shootBehind-the-scenes photo from the shoot"/>Behind-the-scenes photo from the shoot</div>Niño Solis, an event videographer who worked with the couple on the shoot, helped the couple bring their vision to life.“Tinignan namin &#x27;yung film talaga, the entire movie. Binalikan namin &#x27;yun kasi doon kami magbe-base,” Solis said, noting that they did not use green screens the shoot. Shooting wasn’t easy because many scenes in &quot;Beauty and the Beast&quot; took place at night. The team had a very limited time to shoot with only four hours per night at the venue. “Time talaga &#x27;yung pinakamahirap sa lahat. Kasi…..4 hours lang every night &#x27;yung shoot namin. And then ang dami naming kailangan,” Solis said. “Luckily na-achieve naman namin.”When the final video was shown to them for the first time, DJ Mocha and Axl were overwhelmed with emotions. “We watched it together doon habang nasa practice kami….We&#x27;re very happy kami, naiyak pa nga,” Axl shared.<div><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?height=267&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fninosolisfilms%2Fvideos%2F2727842177425025%2F&amp;show_text=false&amp;width=560&amp;t=0" width="560" height="267" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>Within hours, the couple&#x27;s video started gaining attention online. By the end of the day, it had almost reached a million views, with many social media users praising the video for being magical.The wedding was styled like a musical, much like a Disney movie. “&#x27;Yung wedding namin is theater din ang style niya. So may mga musical, may performances, may acts,” Axl said.Although guests were not required to wear costumes, they were asked to come in black formal attire to keep the focus on the couple&#x27;s bright, royal costumes.<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1745901671885WEDDING4.jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt="Photo from Axl and Mocha&#x27;s wedding. The preparation, costumes, props, venue rental, travel expenses, and accommodation all added up. “Quality comes with a price,” Axl said. But for them, seeing the result made every peso worth it. Reflecting on the experience, the couple said that the project not only made their wedding unforgettable but also strengthened their bond even more. “Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Ay, ang ganda pa lang team work natin talaga is talagang ipu-push pa natin to the limits,’&quot; Mocha said.
