Catwalk Philippines, the country's premier modeling search, just announced its return with a diverse roster of male and female models from throughout the country competing for the grand event on June 14 at the Intramuros Convention Center.

In preparation for the finale, the modeling search's producer, Rodel Mercado of FirstSun Production, stated that their major goal is to promote Filipino beauty while embracing diversity in ages, body types, and skin colors.

Mercado said the competition will provide a platform for models to demonstrate their talents, with the winners receiving modeling contracts.

“I applaud DCP's commitment to making Catwalk Philippines the beginning point for young aspiring models in developing their professional careers, and I hope to raise the standard and preserve the integrity of modeling and pageantry in the country,” the FirstSun Production founder told ABS-CBN News.

“We want someone who has strong Filipino roots. Modeling is a profession, and I believe it is time to hone their skills.”

Mercado's company, which is known for providing innovative solutions in advertising campaigns, digital marketing, corporate branding, and events, will handle this year's production. The agency's full-service skills aim to increase the production value of the competition while also providing a more professional platform for young aspiring models.

Last May 3, FirstSun Production and Designers Circle PH hosted a media event showcasing their candidates under the theme "Redux: Vintage Reimagined," with creative influence from the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s.

The competition will feature designs that evoke the glitz of the Gatsby-flapper era, the elegance of Art Deco, and the appeal of Old Hollywood pin-up aesthetics. These ideas will be displayed on four runway segments: resort wear, streetwear, luxurious wear, and haute couture.

The top seven male and seven female finalists will be chosen from a pool of 15 male and 19 female hopefuls to compete in the final runway battle on June 14 at the newly opened Intramuros Convention Center.

Finally, just one male and one female grand winner will be declared the Catwalk Philippines 2025 champions. Each will get a monetary award of Php50,000 as well as modeling contracts from DCP and Ignis Novus Artist Management, FirstSun Production's artist management arm.

Tickets are available at FirstSun Production, Designers Circle PH, and 09541702679.
