<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1748253786631Exhibit Photo 3 (1).jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Traditional silk lanterns from South Korea&#x27;s Jinju city are on display at an exhibit at the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in the Philippines until July 31. <em>Photos courtesy of the KCC in the Philippines</em></span></span></span></div><p>A warm, colorful glow fills the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in the Philippines, where a special exhibit of traditional silk lanterns from Jinju, South Korea is currently on display until the end of July.</p><p>Titled &quot;Lights of Korea: Jinju Silk Lanterns,&quot; the exhibit at the KCC exhibition hall in Taguig features lanterns that, according to the KCC, serve as glowing testaments to Korea&#x27;s artistry and cultural heritage.</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1748254017091KCC.jpg" style="width:633px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>The lanterns are a product of the silk-making traditions of Jinju, a city in South Korea&#x27;s southern Gyeongsangnam-do province renowned for its centuries-old silk farming industry.</p><p>The exhibit, which opened last May 24 and runs until July 31, is part of the 2025 Touring K-Arts program of South Korea&#x27;s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange.</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1748253948648Exhibit Photo 1 (1).jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>In addition to the exhibit, visitors can enjoy a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Lantern Making Kit, allowing them to craft their own lantern to take home as a souvenir.</p><p>Visitors can also take part in &quot;Hanbok Fridays,&quot; an event where they can explore the exhibit while wearing Korea&#x27;s traditional clothing, as well as guided tours, which offer insights into the history and traditions behind the lanterns.</p><p>After its run in Manila, &quot;Lights of Korea: Jinju Silk Lanterns&quot; will continue to illuminate for audiences in Indonesia and Vietnam.</p>
