MANILA -- Star Magic artist Jordan Andrews is joining the cast of the popular musical "Joseph The Dreamer," which is set to return on stage this July.

The former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate will play Joseph in select performances, taking over from Sam Concepcion, who is reprising his acclaimed take on the title role. Andrews will also play Judah, one of Joseph’s 12 brothers, for the rest of the show dates.

“This is my 30th year in theater, and I had dreamed of playing a lead role. Now I get to play Joseph. It is such a special way to mark a career milestone,” Andrews said.

It’s the people I look up to that have played Joseph before us— Tito Gary (Valenciano), Tito Audie (Gemora), Tito Franco (Laurel)! I’m so excited!” added Andrews, who played Tam in the West End production of “Miss Saigon.” He was last seen in the recent productions of “Rent” and “Once On This Island” last year.

Sam Concepcion is returning to the titular role anew, alongside Gary Valenciano, who is back as Jacob. Carlo Orosa also reprises his role as Pharaoh, as well as Kayla Rivera as Asenath.

Joseph’s brothers will be played by RJ dela Fuente, Matthew Barbers, Carlos Canlas, Paul Valdez, Jim Ferrer, Renz Bernardo, Luis Marcelo, and Sam Panlilio.

Returning in the role of Benjamin is Mateo Amper Jimenez. Aldo Vencilao and Dippy Arceo will play Mr. and Mrs. Potiphar. Clave Sun and Liam Nery share the role of Manasseh, and the young Joseph. Rounding out the ensemble are Iya Villanueva, Kathleen Francisco, Coleen Paz, Dani Solis and Justine Narciso.

This edition of "Joseph The Dreamer" also features new cast members. Singer and actress Julia Serad takes on the role of Rachel, Joseph and Benjamin’s beloved mother. She shares the role with singer-actress Aicelle Santos.
