Despite the overwhelming sadness, we are all getting ready to celebrate her life and legacy,&quot; Angsioco’s daughter Mabs Costales wrote in a Facebook post.&quot;The sadness is profound. The loss is overwhelming. She was a powerful force in many, many lives,&quot; Costales said in another post.Angsioco served as the national chairperson of the Democratic Socialist Women of the Philippines (DSWP). Almost a month before her passing, she represented the organization in a roundtable discussion on Feminist Foreign Policy, sponsored by the United Nations Women.Through the years, she was fearless in campaigning for progressive policies such as the Reproductive Health Law, the adolescent pregnancy prevention bill and the legalization of divorce in the Philippines. She was also deeply immersed with women in marginalized communities.Aside for advocating women&#x27;s rights, she was also valiant in giving important to culture and heritage.The National Historical Commission of the Philippines expressed in a post its condolences to Angsioco&#x27;s family and friends.&quot;For lovers of history, she is best known as the custodian of the estate of Felisa Diokno, private secretary of President Emilio Aguinaldo in the latter part of his life. She generously gave people access to this collection which led to the publication by the NHCP ofTalang Bhahay ng Supreme and Bonifacio sa Kabite in 2020. It was a biography of Bonifacio written by Aguinaldo in 1947,&quot; NHCP wrote.The agency said she helped promote the memory of Filipinos who fought during the Philippine Revolution and the Philippine-American War through her participation in Tunay na Kasaysayan ng Pilipinas, Inc. (TUKLAS Pilipinas). She also shared Filipino culture and heritage through the Adarna Food and Culture Restaurant and the Felisa Cafe.&quot;May her memory encourage more Filipinos to be inspired by history to work for the improvement of people&#x27;s lives,&quot; NHCP added.Angsioco’s wake will be held from Thursday to Sunday, July 27 in Quezon City.
