Handout</div>MANILA — Filipino-Canadian fashion house SCI PH is set to take center stage at the inaugural Philippine Fashion Weekend with its latest collection, Unspoken: The Silhouette of Home, premiering July 26–27 at the Manila Marriott Hotel as part of the <a href="http://abs-cbn.com/lifestyle/2025/7/16/manila-marriott-to-stage-wedding-fashion-and-arts-weekend-1402">9th Calgary International Fashion &amp; Arts Week</a> (CIFAW).Founded by designers Limuel Hayag Vilela and Alvin Masangkay Francia, SCI PH will be the only featured Filipino brand at the event, joining five world-class designers from around the globe. The appearance comes on the heels of SCI PH’s breakout showings at New York and Paris Fashion Weeks, cementing its growing international reputation for thoughtful, emotion-driven design.“Our aesthetic evolved through experience. It is clean but expressive, structured but emotional,” said Francia. “In a world of noise, we design quiet statements — pieces that tell your story before you do.”Known for contemporary occasionwear that bridges tradition and innovation, SCI PH’s latest collection explores the personal and cultural resonance of home.“It is a quiet tribute to the elegance of simplicity and the comfort of returning to one’s roots,” Francia explained. Vilela described the work as “rooted in quiet confidence.” He noted key design elements such as “halter gowns with sculptural bows, off-shoulder drapes that frame the collarbone, and modern tailoring that honors tradition while stepping forward.”SCI PH uses luxe fabrics such as Mikado and gazar, chosen “because they hold form and move with grace,” Vilela said. Handout</div>Menswear is also a key component of the new collection. “Gone are the plain, expected looks — we elevate with intricate beadwork, unexpected textures, and cuts that celebrate the male form with elegance,” said Vilela. “Because men deserve to stand out, too — with depth, detail, and undeniable confidence.”Beyond the runway, SCI PH is expanding its reach. The collection will be available by appointment, with select pieces for purchase after the show. The brand is also preparing to launch an online platform for bespoke and made-to-order clients. Curated pieces and everyday wear are currently available at SM City Daet, Camarines Norte, including accessories that complement their core collections.The co-founders see fashion as both cultural expression and community building. “We envision a Philippine fashion industry that is globally respected yet deeply rooted, where regional talents are uplifted, artisans are supported, and young designers are given real platforms to thrive,” said Vilela.Francia echoed the call for greater investment in local creatives: “Also, that we stop playing catch-up and start leading.
