CCP lights up facade with Baybayin for Buwan ng Wika

<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1755411275701CCp2.jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/>Photos from the Cultural Center of the Philippines&#x27; Facebook pageMANILA — In celebration of Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa (National Language Month), the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) has lit up its iconic facade with a glowing word in Baybayin script.</div>On Sunday, the CCP posted on Facebook photos of the Tanghalang Pambansa illuminated in &quot;a palette of lights,&quot; with the Baybayin rendering of the word wika (language) projected on its facade.&quot;The wika in baybayin text highlights uniqueness of the Filipino writing system in our local language,&quot; the CCP wrote on Facebook.<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1755411305898CCP.jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div>The cultural center also noted that the display draws its colors from the Philippine flag and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) logo, as the month also marks National Heroes&#x27; Day and the founding of ASEAN.The display will be projected on the CCP facade from August 15 to 31, between 6:30 and 10 p.m.The lighting is the work of the CCP Technical Team, with the installation conceptualized by Jericho A. Pagana and executed by Shantie De Roca alongside the CCP Gobo Team, which includes Mary Grace Budol and Lucio Tapiru.Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa, established under Presidential Proclamation No. 1041 in 1997, celebrates and promotes the national language, Filipino.
