<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/175842109544102 Press Photo.jpeg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/>Handout</div>MANILA — Three Filipino artists bound for the Florence Biennale are presenting their works in a send-off exhibition in Ortigas, underscoring the country’s growing presence in the international art scene.Mounted in partnership with Artablado, “Lakbay Sining: Likhang Pinoy, Handog sa Daigdig – Road to Florence, Italy” at The Gallery Bar of Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria and Holiday Inn &amp; Suites Manila Galleria, will run until Sept. 30 and features works by Marco Polo Cabrera, Marjowyn Vito and Angelie Banaag, who will represent the Philippines at the Florence Biennale this October.The exhibition includes pieces that reflect the artists’ diverse practices: Cabrera’s mythology-inspired works rooted in cultural pride, Banaag’s textured paintings centered on faith and Ilocano heritage, and Vito’s “Contrasegmentism” pieces tackling social themes such as women’s empowerment and climate change.“We are deeply honored to support Filipino creatives through this collaboration with Artablado,” said Patria Puyat, cluster general manager of Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria. “Our shared goal is to amplify local talent and give them the platform they deserve both here at home and abroad.”Cabrera, who recently represented the Philippines at Art Expo Hong Kong, described the exhibition as an important step toward their international debut. “We will pour our hearts into our works and carry with us the pride of our people, making sure that every Filipino will be proud as we raise the Philippine flag in this world-class event,” he said.The Florence Biennale, one of Europe’s most respected contemporary art showcases, brings together artists from around the world to exhibit before an international jury and audience.The Ortigas exhibition is open to the public, with all works available for purchase.
